Larger the fish the better the loot, I think the effectiveness of fishing rod also inproves loot but i'm not 100% sure, my mc rod with 300+ effectiveness gets very nice things.   • Looks like the resources you were getting before the patch have been removed from the loot table. After about 6 hours of fishing, post patch, meat is all that I was getting. So I have to conclude that either I had really poopty luck or the loot tables only have meat on them.
